Do I need a step-down transformer (220/110 volt) using an electric stove / range of Canada?

I recently received a stove Electric stove / Canada as a gift. Recognizing that Canada's electricity is 110 volts AC, I need a step-down transformer to convert my source 220 VAC to 110 VAC to use the stove / range?

It would be great to learn the voltage is where you live. Household circuits used to power televisions, radios, watches and similar items use 110 VAC. Appliances, as noted by 220-240 VAC use. Know what uses this power, it would be useful for you. There is some label in all electronic devices ie what voltage is needed for a safe operation. Read them, listen, so that the next time you can answer your question whether you can use the issue. Knowledge goes a long way, ignorance leaves you stranded.
