How to make your popular coffee syrups

One widely practiced method of changing the basic flavor of coffee is to add flavored coffee syrups. You can add the flavor of your choice either to the gourmet coffee bean or straight to the freshly poured cup of coffee. If you cannot straightaway decide which flavored syrup you like best, then the right thing would be to keep experimenting with different flavors till you strike upon the right one. However, some of the more popular syrups are:

Vanilla flavored coffee is indeed the favorite of many coffee drinkers as vanilla has a unique smell. Vanilla is popular because it is basic but adds a touch of elegance to everything it is added. For those who do not fancy normal vanilla, there are other types - French vanilla and Vanilla bean.

Chocolate flavored coffee syrup is considered a true delicacy of the elite. Chocolate coffee syrup is not very expensive and it offers the coffee connoisseur the authentic flavor. There are even specialty gourmet coffees that are mixed with chocolate.

Caramel flavored is arguably one of the widely preferred popular coffee flavorings. Caramel is versatile in the sense it can also be added to almost any other flavor. Caramel is usually the mixture of brown sugar and butter. Caramel is delicious and a good way to add a sweetener to your cup of morning coffee.

Yet popular coffee syrup is Buttered Rum. Buttered rum coffee is exotic and the sweetening taste will satisfy all coffee connoisseurs who have a sweet tooth. It may not be wrong to describe Buttered Rum as sweet butterscotch. This flavor may somewhat taste like the alcoholic rum though there is no alcohol h. However, people who want that kick only alcohol offers, you can add a bit of the real stuff.

Mint flavored coffee syrup is the preferred choice of many. Mint provides a tingling taste to anything it is added too. Mint is known for soothing natural components. There are also people who are fond of mint mixed with chocolate. Those who are dissatisfied with all the readily available syrups can try to create their own syrup.

When preparing coffee, using syrup will be the easiest way to add flavor. Being a liquid, syrups mix more readily than powdered ingredients and syrups also add a richer texture to the drink. Syrups can be purchased in a wide variety of flavors, from companies making well known brands. The next obvious question is how to make your own syrup.
First of all, choose the flavor you wish for your gourmet coffee flavoring syrup. Select vanilla cinnamon, peppermint, raspberry, chocolate gourmet coffee or any other. The choice is wide. You can buy any of these flavoring extracts which you feel will go well with your coffee.
Mix two cups of sugar with one cup of water in a saucepan and place it on the stove applying moderate heat. When the mixture is about to boil add 2 teaspoons of the flavoring of your choice. You can double or triple the preparation as long as your pot is only half-full. As you're boiling sugar, do not fill the pan more than halfway mark.
Allow the mixture to get thicken on medium heat and then remove it from the oven. Allow some time for the gourmet flavored coffee syrup to cool a bit and then pour it into a wide-mouthed sterile container.
Keep your gourmet flavored coffee syrup inside the fridge and use it within 30 days. The quantum of syrup you wish to add to your cup of coffee depends on your personal taste. Most coffee drinkers however add one or two teaspoons

can i use a steel food can too??

Ok, so i hike alot and i use a soda can alcohol stove. I have decided to make a pot from a steel food can. its 28 oz so its perfect sized. it has a coating on the inside of it thats a shade of white. i cut the lid off with a safety cutter and the lids realy heavy.i think the white stuff is like paint or enamel or somthing to keep the food from touching the steel.can any1 tell me what the white stuff is?also can any1 tell me if its safe to cook in thing.by cook i mean to simply boil water in,.
if it might be bad for me could i just sand the coating out? I thing it might be paint cause like i said it scrapes right off

I believe that white stuff is some sort of plastic used to keep the food from contacting the steel. I would not heat it up with a flame because the plastic may wind up in the food. See if you can find an aluminum can that fits your needs--there is no potential problem with a metal coating.
